Position Summary:

The person in this position will be responsible to manage the day to day operations of the center, purchasing, merchandising and disposition of inventory.

 

Responsibilities of New Car Sales Manager:

• Daily lot/stock walk

• Daily one on ones with all sales consultants, BDC personal, and finance managers.

• Hiring and monitoring performance of the sales consultants, holding weekly sales meetings and conducting sales training.

• Overseeing standards for displaying and merchandising both new and used vehicles as well as reviewing and initialing all promotions before they are finalized.

• Managing the new and used vehicle inventory levels and monitoring vehicle aging.

• Coordinating the appropriate supply of new vehicles and ordering/acquiring vehicle inventory accordingly.

• Meeting daily with the dealership's general manager to review appointments, forecasts and profits for the new and used departments.

• Working directly with the general manager on making recommendations on both short and long-range advertising plans, sales promotions, staffing needs, lease promotions and compensation plans.

• Attending to customer complaints, ensuring that a high level of customer satisfaction is obtained.

• Auditing all appraisals of trade-in vehicles.

 

Job Requirements

Managers are required to have a valid driver's license in good standing and a high school diploma, college degree would be beneficial. We prefer 3-5 years of Sales Management experience.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role

• Strong knowledge of the automotive industry and dealer operations

• Strong coaching, leadership and negotiation skills

• Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills

• High levels of imitative, commitment and flexibility

• Ability to multitask and work independently

• Computer skills: advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

• Valid driver's license
